Living Healthy With A “Natural Strawberry Sorbet”!

Whether it is fresh strawberries, which you can find all year at most markets, or organic flash-frozen ones, this natural dessert is one which will quench your sweet tooth and not load your body with chemicals and other forms of slow suicide.

You will notice this recipe (and any recipe for a sorbet) calls for “sugar syrup.” You can make your own very easily. Just use equal amounts of sugar and water and heat the mixture in a pot just until the sugar melts and the water is clear. Yes, it is that simple!

So, as long as your have an ice cream machine and about 20 free minutes to churn the sorbet, you should have a very refreshing, tasty and healthy dessert!
Ingredients needed to make Fresh Strawberry Sorbet:
  • 2 cups strawberry puree
  • 2 cups sugar syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 lemon, juice only
  1. Combine all the ingredients into a large bowl and whisk until very well combined.
  2. Place the mixture into the refrigerator and chill at least 2 hours.
  3. Pour the mixture into the ice cream machine and churn 20 minutes.
  4. Scoop into dishes and serve!
