The Young Money Princess Nicki Minaj has scored her first UK number one album this week, with her latest record, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
Nicki fought off competition from Labrinth, whose debut album Electronic Earth fell into second place. Nicki released the follow-up to her 2009 debut Pink Friday, last week, and has managed to shift more than 200,000 copies on both sides of the Atlantic.
Nicki took to her Twitter to thank her loyal legion of fans (Barbz) in the UK for making her become the first YMCMB member to top the charts overseas, writing: “I can’t thank u guys enough. I’m just shocked and grateful. U guys give me life. Thank u.”
Meanwhile, her latest single ‘Starships,’ slipped into fourth place on the official singles UK chart, with Chris Brown topping off the top five with ‘Turn Up The Music,’ which hit the top spot last week.
