Many fans where hoping to see Chris Brown & Rihanna on stage at the 2012 VMA’s, but unfortunately Breezy has announced he will not be attending this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
The ‘Fortune’ singer was expected to attend the ceremony in Los Angeles next week to pick up one of two awards which he is nominated for, if he wins. Along with reports speculating that he would reunite with his ex-girlfriend Rihanna on stage to present an award following her declaration of still loving the singer.
Producers of the show were also hoping Chris and his rival Drake would have an altercation to boost ratings, in light of their club brawl back in June, according to taletela.
However, Chris’ rep says none of the above will happen as the singer isn’t even attending the ceremony. “[Chris] will not be at the VMAs in any capacity,” his rep told Gossip Cop.
Chris’ chart-topping single ‘Turn Up The Music’ has been nominated for two awards, Best Male Video and Best Choreography.
But the show must go on, as the VMAs will be taking place on September 6 and hosted by comedian Kevin Hart.
