Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane is still riding that violent train as he is now wanted by Atlanta police for assaulting a soldier at a nightclub in Atlanta last Friday night.
According to reports, 33 year-old Gucci Mane allegedly struck a soldier in the head, while promoting the mixtape’s debut last Friday in a VIP booth at an Atlanta club.
Here’s what the soldier, who was in town celebrating his birthday, after returning to the US from Afghanistan in October 2012, told WSBTV:
“I’m in the military. I wanted to get a picture with Gucci Mane, is it OK?” said the solider, who identified himself as James.
“I was speaking to the security guard, and Gucci Mane hit me in the head with a bottle. And as I looked at him in the shock of why, one of his friends hit me in the side of my face.”
James was then rushed to the Grady Memorial Hospital where he received ten stitches and is suffering from a concussion.
“We do have an active warrant for Mr. Davis for aggravated assault,” said Atlanta Police Lt. Jeff Cantin. “So I’m sure after he sees this, he’ll then want to reach out and contact us.”
Plus, the rapper’s legal woes span over a decade now and range from cocaine possession to battery, reckless conduct and aggravated assault. And he also attacked a DJ earlier this year for playing his unreleased tracks.
So, this arrest is long overdue!
