Just after the CEO of Barney’s, Mark Lee, issued an apology to rapper Jay Z and several other individuals who were discriminated against after shopping in the store, and had a little sit down with Rev. Al Sharpton to discuss the issue.
The high-end department store suddenly canceled Jay Z’s holiday collaboration kickoff party.
To add insult to injury, Barneys did not provide any exact reason for cancelling the event. This was the vague statement released by the retail giant:
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the event has been cancelled.”
