Hollywood’s ‘IT’ couple, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik takes over the August issue of Vogue Magazine.
On Thursday, the young couple sealed their reputation as the King and Queen of the Millennials by appearing together on the August cover of Vogue.
The LA-raised blonde supermodel, 22, shared the cover on her Instagram account and wrote a gushing note.
‘It will forever be a great honor to cover @voguemagazine .. but I felt extra grateful and proud to stand beside my @zayn !!’ She added a heart in front of his name.
She then thanked the Vogue team:
‘@inezandvinoodh we are always humbled to be in front of your lens, and we beyond thank you, Anna, @tonnegood and everyone who made this a reality for us! A dream.’
In the issue the two – who call New York City home base – talked about wearing each other’s clothing. He admitted to borrowing an Anna Suit shirt while she said he ‘shops in his closet.’
‘It’s not about gender. It’s about, like, shapes. And what feels good on you that day. And anyway, it’s fun to experiment,’ said the former Guess model. One day you can be this,” she says. ‘And another day you can do that,’ she adds.
‘If Zayn’s wearing a tight shirt and tight jeans and a big, drapey coat. I mean—I’d wear that, too. It’s just about, Do the clothes feel right on you?’ said the blonde beauty.
The Vogue writer also wrote about how Malik ‘shoots Hadid a tender look’ and joins the conversation.
‘With social media, the world’s gotten very small and it can seem like everyone’s doing the same thing. Gender, whatever—you want to make your own statement. You know? You want to feel distinct,’ the Pillow Talk hit maker said.
The cover story was more about the evaporation of gender rules than it was about their true fairy-tale love story.
Power couples don’t usually take the cover of Vogue: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West did so in 2014, but it’s incredibly uncommon.
