Model Claims Russell Simmons Sexually Assaulted Her… Simmons Responded: “It Was Consensual”

The #Metoo saga continues….

Over the weekend, model Keri Claussen Khalighi accused business mogul Russell Simmons of raping her when she first started her modeling career at the age of 17. Keri also claims Hollywood producer, Brett Ratner, was in the room and watched Simmons sexually assault her.

Khalighi told the LA Times that Simmons invited her back to his apartment after having a business dinner… where he allegedly showed her a music video project that he had been working on with Ratner. She claims that once she got to Simmons’ apartment, he started to make sexual gestures towards her that led to him yanking her clothes off and tried to force her to have sexual intercourse with him.

Khalighi, who was Simmons’ protege, said that Simmons forced her to perform oral sex on him and claimed that Ratner sat there and watched as it happened and didn’t do it anything as she cried for help.

“I looked over at Brett and said ‘help me’ and I’ll never forget the look on his face,” she explained what happened that night in 1991. “In that moment, the realization fell on me that they were in it together.”

Khalighi admitted to the publication that both men have apologized to her. Simmons reached out to her a year ago and Ratner apologized 15-years-ago.

Simmons also released a statement saying that everything that happened that weekend was consensual and that he’s “deeply saddened and truly shocked” by Khalighi’s allegations.

“Everything that occurred between us 26 years ago was completely consensual and with Keri’s full participation,” he claims. “I completely and unequivocally deny the horrendous allegations of non-consensual sex against me with every fiber of my being.”

According to recent reports, Ratner has been accused of sexually assaulting six women this year. He has since been removed from producing the sequel of the upcoming Wonder Woman.
